KUALA LUMPUR, June 8 (Bernama) -- Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur (CVSKL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with The International Medical College (IMC) to enhance academic, skills, training and professional development for both parties.
The collaboration will offer nursing students an avenue for a three-month practical training in cardiac and vascular diseases.
The MoU was signed by CVSKL's medical director, Datuk Dr Sharifah Suraya Syed Mohd Tahir and chief executive officer of IMC, Christy Chiu Lai Heng here today. It was witnessed by CVSKL chairman Tan Sri Dr Yahya Awang and IMC head of nursing programme, Ng Kok Toh.
Dr Yahya said the training programme was part of its corporate social responsibility to provide industry experience for IMC students through clinical attachments at CVSKL.
"We do not have a target for the quantity of students but we hope to contribute our knowledge and share our experience since we are experts in cardiac and vascular diseases," he said.....
